Wonderful Doctor

We met with my oncologist today to find out how much she is willing to support alternative treatment. She was very supportive of our decision to try another type of treatment, and said she would do whatever she can to move this treatment option along. I won't go into all the details here on the blog, but just know that I sure am thankful for an open-minded doctor.

We are praying for all of you, for the treatment plan to become clear, for God to pave the way that He desires for you, and for peace of mind for all of you, strenth and peace, as you take the next step by faith. I'm just a friend of a friend, Amy,
but I wanted to let you know that our family is praying for you and your husband and children.
May the Lord fill you with His strength, your blog has encouraged me in my walk with Christ. "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

Its always encouraging to have a supportive and helpful, caring doctor....

I know you don't know me but I've been following your story since you were diagnosed ("met" you through an online friend) and been praying for you....what a journey you have been on, and continuing to pray.

I don't know you...but I have a friend who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and was given 6 months to live. She did chemo and radiation, but she also changed her diet in a MAJOR way. I haven't read your whole blog, but the website for this cancer fighting nutrition is www.roxannesremedies.com

Good luck and God Bless.

A fundraiser has been set up for Amy at AmyCBixby.org if anyone would like to help with this need.

Hi Amy,
You would not know me, but my Pastor mentioned your situation in prayer meeting last night. I am very moved by your story and your testimony. I wanted you to know that you are on my heart and I am truly praying for God's hand of deliverance in your life and His grace in each of your lives. I just read this morning from 2 Cor 1:9-11 where Paul mentions that our struggles "make us rely not on ourselves but on God...on Him have we set our hope that He will deliver us...by prayer, so that many will give thanks on (your) behalf for the blessing granted(you)though the prayers of many." I am positive that many, many are praying for you. May you find much joy and peace in Him today. With love in Christ, Olivia Cresswell (mommy to five little ones)

We've never met, but I know your family. I can't empathize with the struggles you face daily, but it is exciting to see how God has worked in and through you to accomplish His purposes. We pray regularly for you and your family, and we will continue to do so. God bless...
