I could not find an electronic copy of the 5280 Magazine's article to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I've scanned a copy here. If you click on the picture of the page with text, it should enlarge so that you can read it. Here's the link to my page on the Susan G. Komen Denver affiliate's website.

Monday I went to see the oncologist for a follow-up on the enlarged lymph node I found the week after radiation was finished. It has not gone away, and the oncologist found a second swollen lymph node in the same general area. She is scheduling tests to help determine what is going on. This has been a challenging week, to say the least. I dread starting this whole process over again, and I hope these lymph nodes turn out to be benign. Many times over the last few days I have looked at the stencil a friend put on my bedroom wall - "Be still and know that I am God." That probably sounds kind of ambiguous to some, but our recent experiences have given me opportunities to learn what kind of God I have, and I have every reason to be still and trust Him.

Oh Amy, I love these beautiful pictures. You are so precious to share them with us. I love you so, so much and you are in my thoughts and prayers so often. I hope that these bumps are benign and that you will continue on the road to recovery. I only wish I lived close enough to somehow help. You are never far from my mind though, be assured of that. You and your sister were among the first people to welcome my family to Hampton Park back in 1987. I'll never forget what a precious friend you were and continue to be!! Take care, and please give Gilead a snuggle for me. He is beautiful, as are your other little ones :)

Jon and Amy, you are always in our prayers, and we will more earnestly pray regarding this latest development. The story is precious, especially to know you and read through the lines at all they didn't say.
Please give my love to the kids that remember me.

Amy, as in the past articles, this one also shows how much you desire to keep on keeping on! As Dan said, those of us who know you or are Christians to understand the strength you have and WHO is behind that strength...even then in the listening to the still small voice of your Saviour, I am sure there are moments of fear or trepidation at best. It's OK especially because I know you allow those times to lead right back into your Keeper's Arms! I also hope that your article of how you trusted God to protect your son even in the midst of cancer will be an encouragement and help to someone else that might be in the same postion. Be assured of our continued prayers and we will look forward to your next report. God bless you...I love the 'circle' picture of you and the kids!
love and prayers,
Vicki

When we went through a very uncertain time with our son, that verse became very precious to me too. Even just the first two words! When my soul would get so noisy and worried, I needed the Lord to say to me, "BE STILL!"
