Keeping On

My blood work results were disappointing today. My tumor markers remained basically the same - 76. We were really hoping for another drastic drop, but we knew it wasn't guaranteed. Through this past week, the Lord has reminded me constantly through a variety of sources that He always works perfectly, and I can continue to trust Him without reserve when things don't go the way I thought I wanted them to. What peace. I hope and pray that every one of you can have the same peace. The difficulties it usually takes to learn this are worth it.

I've been doing a lot of reading lately. I won't do a review of the following books, but they both deal with trusting our Shepherd and King and have been a powerful blessing to me. I hope some of you will enjoy them too.

Hinds Feet On High Places by Hannah Hurnard
Edge of Eternity by Randy Alcorn

I have read Hinds Feet on High Places, and it is a fabulous book! I would love to read it again. What a precious book to read during this time! I was thinking of it just today... I am so glad you read it and shared! I am currently reading A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by Phillip Keller - it is facinating so far! Ruth Bustamante

I also have read Hinds Feet on High Places (a long time ago). Great reading! I have not read the other. Thank you, once again, for keeping us informed. We will continue to pray and watch God at work. It is exciting to see the works of His hands. I sometimes just have to sit back in awe at the wonderful privilege that we, as children of God, have to experience and know the power of a personal, loving Savior. Those without Christ have no idea what they are missing! We are indeed blessed.

I finished my first Randy Alcorn book last month, Safely Home. It was inspirational and made me look at our earthly life in a new light.

Glad to hear your markers have dropped, and we will continue to pray for still lower levels. You wouldn't want to miss spring in the Rockies. :)

Have a great day, get well, and come home soon! We wre praying and missing your lovely family.
